Supporting the lives of those experiencing the effects of isolation and loneliness
We’re excited to announce the launch, of what we hope will be just the first of our dedicated men’s groups, Friendly Fellas. And we’d like to extend a very warm welcome to Ray and Steve, who as our latest volunteers, will be taking on the running of the group for us. They all have lived life experiences and a deep understanding of the many issues that affect men’s all round wellbeing.
At Friendly Faces of Kent, we understand the importance of community and connection. Our Friendly Fellas group is a place where men can come together to share their experiences, seek advice from their peers, and find support. We believe that by creating a safe and welcoming space, we can help men improve their mental health and overall wellbeing.
Our meetings are held in the Light House Coffee Shop, at the Hope St Centre in Sheerness ME12 1AJ a convenient location for members in the area. Our regular meetings take place on Wednesday each week from 6pm to 8pm, and we encourage anyone who is interested to drop by and join the guys for a cuppa and a chat.
In addition to our regular meetings, we also plan a range of activities for our Friendly Fellas. From walks and outings to group events, where we hope to provide a variety of opportunities for men build a sense of camaraderie and enjoy each other's company.
