Hi Both. A great big Thankyou for making D so welcome he lost my friend T his partner of 35 years 2 weeks before Xmas. I have been getting him out & about but noticed yesterday he was very quiet & withdrawn. T's funeral is on Friday so I think that's on his mind now as it draws nearer. He's left me a message to say he was called about his shopping today. I have unfortunately not had a call yet, but will get a list ready in anticipation. I think it's a wonderful achievement & can't Thank you enough as my mortgage has gone up nearly £500. leaving me with a nil bank balance unfortunately.

Thankyou for everything you do for us you're wonderful.

What our Members enjoyed in 2021

Do enjoy this group - my favourite was art projects, but love the walks, book club and meetings. However the best part is the companionship you feel, especially over the last couple of years - vital in Lockdown when online contact and Covid safe drop offs (books, wool etc) were so important and appreciated. Thank you x Maxine D

The pedometer challenge, was the perfect introduction and something I will keep going with. But I think it is the variety of topics and the genuine good will of staff and participants that really stands out. Thank you all x Debbie P

Outings with friends, without having to worry that I can’t drive. I feel 100% safe- I don’t go out on my own, as my epilepsy isn’t stable yet, but I do look forward to the outings. I really enjoyed the pedometer challenge, the walks, and I still make that Sausage & Bean stew that we made for Asda. Thanks x Sudi D

Elmley Nature Reserve Walk n Talk

What a lovely day & a beautiful place Elmley nature reserve is & all on our door step thank u so much for my first trip out with this group & thank u so much for making me feel welcome. Tina V

Lovely to see Elmley for the first time, even though I have lived on the island all my life. Thank you to our guide who was very knowledgeable, the restaurant was lovely too. Great to chat to members, all in all a lovely day. Helen B

Oh lesley what a lovely bag full of goodies yesterday. After a particularly rubbish week & then going to nursing home where my uncle is end of life & I’m the only one in family who will see him which has been so hard. To come home to my bag was like Christmas I was so excited & felt so loved going through it. I never ask for food parcels from yourselves as there are others worse off than me but as I’m not able to get out shopping & don’t do online shopping it was so nice to receive a bag of goodies & then books for me to read & then our pedometer bags with even more goodies & a lovely bottle to take on our ffok walks which I am so looking forward to meeting everyone on. I went to bed that night feeling very happy & content. It’s the little things in life & your group definitely brings that. To think all those years ago when you first advertised on fb I was going to join but too scared, to find you again at a meal at lynns and to then like your page at a time when I think I needed your page more than I thought. Thank you so much for starting something that we all need and for putting all your spare time & energy into it. You all at FFOK are angels! Xxx Karon.
